The Health Research Institute (Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria) of the Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid is an organization dedicated to promoting research, to the planning of the scientific activity in line with the areas defined in the strategic plan, to provide methodological support for conducting research projects and clinical trials, to manage people and their knowledge, to ensure the use of the infrastructure dedicated to research, to manage the resulting economic resources for research development, and to be the translating platform for research results into clinical practice.
