The Advanced Technologies and Model Translation Area of the Health Research Institute of the Hospital Clínico San Carlos (IdISSC) is a key component in the field of medical research and technological innovation. Made up of 10 research groups from various clinical fields, and supported by almost 150 researchers, this area aims to promote interaction and technology transfer with the goal of improving healthcare and transforming clinical outcomes.
Through constant interaction between our research groups and healthcare professionals, we seek to identify needs and develop innovative approaches to address them. This collaborative and multidisciplinary approach allows us to generate knowledge and tools useful in clinical practice.
Technology transfer and development is a fundamental aspect of our work, so we seek to foster strong collaborative relationships between the different research groups, as well as with other organisations and academic institutions to share knowledge and encourage the practical application of technological advances.
In short, the goal is to turn technological advances into tangible benefits for patients and society. Through continuous interaction and collaboration between the different actors, we hope to drive innovation, development and effective translation of research models.
