Cellular Response and Function Unit (URECEL)

The Cell Response and Function STU offers the possibility to perform comprehensive analyses of cell response and function (e.g., to commercial or newly developed drugs) in a wide range of human cell systems, e.g., in T-cells, B-cells, monocytes, dendritic cells, etc.

The main objective of this STU is to support clinical researchers in experimental approaches that may be unfamiliar to them, and we are open to implementing new protocols in response to specific needs.

Services offered

  • Preparation of biological samples for research projects (serum extraction, isolation, PBMCs and DNA, platelet-rich plasma – PRPs…)
  • Pharmacogenetic research studies
  • Determination for research projects of: ApoE risk genetics, intraepithelial lymphogram (from duodenal biopsy), T CD8+ lymphocytes activated in peripheral blood directed to the intestine
  • Quantification of soluble proteins from various sources: serum, plasma, urine, tears, CSF, etc., for research projects, using Olink Signature Q100 technology and ELISA; and protein expression levels by Western blot.
  • Messenger RNA expression levels by quantitative real-time PCR for research purposes.
  • Research studies on mitochondrial activity using Agilent Seahorse technology.
